Toledo Resturant Review – Tapas, Steak & Seafood

Toledo just might be one of my new favorite spots for a really nice dinner or date night at Disney World. This is a Spanish inspired restaurant serves tapas, steak, and seafood at the top of the Coronado Springs Destino Tower. We’ve dined here twice, and each time the food was flawless and delicious! Below are photos of our meals and thoughts on our experience at Toledo.

Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí
One of the inspirations for this restaurant is Walt Disney’s relationship with Salvador Dalí. They even created a short film together called Destino which is also the namesake of Coronado Springs Resort’s newest addition the Gran Destino Tower.

If you look around and you might notice the Spanish-inspired art nouveau decor, including touches of Salvador Dalí’s surreal art and Gaudí’s art nouveau style in the beautifully colorful ceiling lighting and other architectural touches.
The views from the top of the Destino Tower are incredible. You can even see fireworks at night from the balcony of the lounge.

Tapas and Starters we’ve tried at Toledo
I always enjoy ordering and sharing several dishes with friends and Toledo was perfect for this. We were able to try several dishes on my first visit.
- Gambas al Ajillo, shrimp baked in a garlic-infused olive oil, served with toasted bread and butter.
- The Pan Con Tomate is a plant-based tapas with crushed tomato, garlic, and olive oil, over delicious toasted bread.
- Brussels Sprouts – I saw these on the menu and knew I needed to try them. They were seasoned well and roasted until crispy and tender. Delicious!
Everything we ordered was delicious. I think my favorite tapas was the Shrimp – they were baked to perfection, which can be a challenge with shrimp.
Entrees we’ve tried at Toledo

Thankfully my friends don’t mind sharing tastes of their meals because I was able to try several dishes during my trips. Every meal I’ve tasted was truly fantastic.
- Plancha-seared Salmon served with Asparagus Purée, Vizcaina Sauce, and Seasonal Garden Vegetables
- Scallops served beside a vegetable puree, harrissa, and roasted carrots. (This is no longer on the menu as an entree, however, you can order scallops as an add-on to your meal (which I happily did the next time I ate at Toledo)
- Rioja-braised Chicken – Saffron-scented Bomba Rice, Grapes, Rioja Wine, Crispy Chorizo Migas. I’ve had this twice and added Sea Scallops the second time because I remembered how delicious they were!

- Marinated Grilled Lamb Loin served with the most delicious potatoes, salsa verde, greens, and some seasonal vegetables
- Filet of Beef was served with delicious whipped potatoes and a mushroom, red wine demi, and truffle vinaigrette
- Rioja-braised Chicken is served on saffron-scented Bomba Rice, with grapes, Rioja wine, and crispy chorizo migas. I enjoyed this so much the first time that I ordered it again, which is not something I do often. The second time I added Sea Scallops it was a delicious combo!

Have you been to Toledo yet? Make a reservation and try it on your next trip. When you’re done with your meal head across the hall to the Dahlia Lounge and enjoy a beverage before watching the fireworks from the roof top balcony.
