Hollywood and Vine Resturant Review- Minnie’s Seasonal Dining

I finally had the opportunity to eat at Hollywood and Vine on my last trip. Hollywood and Vine is a Character-dining experience in Hollywood Studios that offers a full buffet meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While you dine, characters will stop by your table throughout your meal so you can meet them and get photos. Below, I’ll give you a quick overview of the restaurant and share my thoughts on our experience at Hollywood and Vine.
What Characters are at Hollywood and Vine?
Hollywood and Vine offers two different character dining experiences where you can meet either the Disney Junior characters or Minnie, Mickey, and friends.

During breakfast, Hollywood and Vine offers Disney Junior Play n’ Dine – Breakfast. This is a special character-dining experience with characters from popular Disney Junior shows like Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Vampirina.
Lunch and Dinner Buffets change to Minnie’s Seasonal Dining experience. You can meet Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto during Lunch or Dinner. Throughout the year, the characters will celebrate each season with special outfits, including around special holidays like Halloween and Christmas.

Minnie’s Springtime Dine
I ate at Hollywood and Vine in April with friends. We were there during Minnie’s Springtime dine. Minnie was dressed in a lovely floral dress, and the other characters had on similar pastel spring-themed outfits.

The Buffet Offerings
The buffets at dinnertime had plenty of food options to choose from. I was impressed switch the fresh fruits and vegetables. The salad bar area had some of my favorite salad toppings like chickpeas, cucumbers, cheese, peas, chopped hard-boiled eggs, and more!
Entree options included salmon, meatballs with mushroom sauce, and pastas, oven-roasted chicken (surprisingly good!), shepherd’s pie, Asian tofu, and other options. There were peel-and-eat cocktail shrimp, cold salads, mac-n-cheese, caramelized Brussels sprouts (one of my favorites!), roasted potatoes, green beans, and delicious whipped potatoes.

For dessert, there was a buffet with cupcakes, cake (I think ours was a shortcake), pastries, sautéed apples, chocolate tarts, mousse, a self-serve soft serve machine, and more. I think the soft serve ice cream would be a big hit with kids!

The buffet offerings change depending on the season, with special exclusive treats offered during the holidays. I hope to make it back for Halloween this year to see what they have and see the characters in their Not-So-Spooky Halloween Costumes!

What I enjoyed:
Some of my favorites from this buffet were the salmon, Brussels sprouts, and mac and cheese. I enjoyed 2 servings of the salmon. I barely had room for dessert, but I tried a bite of a few things. The chocolate tart and (lemon?) mousse were delicious, and you can never go wrong with soft serve!

Character Interactions
During our dinner at Hollywood and Vine were able to meet Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto. They would stop by throughout our meal and say hello. We were each able to get up and get a photo with the characters, and we also got some fun table selfies with the characters, which I highly recommend trying if you don’t want to be getting up throughout your meal. The characters were super fun and engaging. Pluto was wild!! So funny and dancing all around. This was one of my favorite character interactions at a Disney World restaurant.
I do have some additional thoughts about these interactions below, so keep be sure to reading…

While I loved meeting each of the characters, their high-energy and constant stops at our table were a bit overwhelming. Just when I thought we could start eating, a character would stop by. Sliding in and out of the booth for photos was kind of a pain, although worth it considering the great interactions and photos we were able to get. I think this was only an issue because we were seated in a booth instead of a table, which would have been easier to manage.
This wouldn’t cause me to skip Hollywood and Vine because the food and characters were both worth it! I think I would plan to take photos from the table instead of getting up throughout our meal, or request a table instead of a booth.
