On my latest trip to EPCOT I took a trip to Italy to have lunch at Via Napoli with a few friends. Via Napoli has earned a great reputation over the years for their traditional Neapolitan pizza and I was excited to give it a try.

Where is Via Napoli?

Via Napoli is located in the Italy Pavillion in EPCOT. It opened in 2010

The Atmosphere at Via Napoli

The interior of Via Napoli was designed by architects from Florence. They did a great job adding authentic touches in each room. You’ll see hand-painted tiles on tables, fresco paintings, and other little touches that make you feel like you are dining in Florence. The main dining room has beautiful arches and columns. Even the three pizza ovens in the main dining room are named after three active volcanos in Italy: Stromboli, Vesuvius, and Etna.

What’s on The Menu at Via Napoli?

Via Napoli serves authentic Italian dishes and Pizzas. The menu is simple. You’ll find several traditional antipastas, pastas, entrees, and pizzas to choose from.

Via Napoli is known for their Neapolitan thin-crust, wood-fired pizzas. You can choose from one of their 6 popular pizzas or you can build your own pizza.

Via Napoli takes extra steps to make their pasta and pizzas as authentic as possible. They are so passionate about the quality of their meals that they import the Caputo flour and water for the dough from Southern Italy.

What we ordered:

I ordered the Capricciosa Pizza which is made with tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmacotto ham, olives, artichokes, mushrooms, and oregano.

Drinks

You can choose from several delicious Italian cocktails or have the bartender make you whatever beverage you prefer. I ordered a Tiramisù Martini which was exceptional! Pictured below is also the Strawberry Dream Rossini which received rave reviews too.

The Service at Via Napoli

The service at Via Napoli was great! We never had to hunt down our server and she answered all of our questions about the menu.

How is the pricing at Via Napoli?

I found the pricing at Via Napoli to be fairly reasonable especially since most meals could easily be shared.

Pizzas come in 3 sizes:

An Individual pizza is 12″ and serves 1 (or you can share if you are not big eaters.)
The Large Pizza is 20″ and can serve 2-3 (I think this could easily feed 4 for lunch.
The Half Meter is like the name implies a half meter about 19.5″ and serves 3-4. Again I think this could easily serve 6.

How much is a Pizza at Via Napoli?

Pizza pricing varies depending on size and flavor but average pricing is listed below.

Individual: $25
Large: $42
Half Meter: $58

Pasta Dish Pricing at Via Napoli

Pasta Dishes at priced at $28 and up. No one at our table finished their pasta dish, there was more than enough for 2 people to share.

There is no dress code for Via Napoli.

Reservations

Reservations are a must and can be moderately difficult to get. Be sure to log in right at your 60-day window and make reservations if possible.

Canceling Your Reservation

Quality and Flavor

8.3 out of 10

The quality of the meals was very good. They do offer a very authentic Italian dining experience. We had one of the best pizzas of our life in Burano, Italy and I have to say that the pizza crust is as close as I've ever found. I would choose a more traditional pizza flavor next time as the artichokes were not my favorite.

Ambiance

The ambiance and theming of the main dining room were fantastic. We were seated in a side room, which was more simple, however, there was a beautiful fresco painting on the wall. I think overall the theming was very good.

Service

9.8 out of 10

Our server (cast member) was exceptional. She was able to answer our questions and make great recommendations. We never had to hunt her down she stopped by and checked on us often.

Price

7.8 out of 10

Via Napoli was priced pretty well. While the pizzas pricing might seem high you really can share with more people than suggested. My daughter and I could have very easily shared the Individual-sized pizza. If you keep this in mind I do think the pricing for meals is fair. Specialty drinks are priced at a premium for sure, my martini was $17, so be sure to consider that.

Final thoughts… I would love to come back to Via Napoli and try a more traditional pizza flavor, I’d also love to try different pasta dishes. I think this is a great option for families who want to share a pizza, I would be sure to stick with traditional flavors for little ones.
