This morning was my first ride in a Minnie Van, and I’m sure it won’t be my last. My driver, Mike, was outstanding; he made sure I was extra comfortable and got me to Magic Kingdom right as they opened! See what makes Minnie Vans so special and if it’s worth the splurge!

What Makes Minnie Vans so Special?

  • All Minnie Van vehicles are professionally maintained and very safe. You don’t need to worry about getting into a ride-share vehicle and wondering if the tires are bald or if the brakes have been maintained properly.
  • Most Minnie Van drivers have been with Disney for a long time, or they have gone through extensive training to meet the customer service expectations of Walt Disney World.
  • Minnie Vans gives you access to premium drop-off locations.
  • Each vehicle is equipped with screens for entertainment (1 or 2 screens, depending on the vehicle)
  • You’ll have heated seats and AC, so you’ll be comfortable no matter the temperatures. You might think heated seats are unnecessary here in Florida, but temperatures can drop in the winter. This morning I woke up to 30-degree temperatures, and I sure appreciated the heated seats in my Minnie Van!
  • Minnie Vans carry 2 car seats that also act as a booster seat for up to 65 pounds.
  • Strollers can be easily stowed in the back of the vans, and the larger Minnie Vans can carry 2 ECVS (scooters, electric wheelchairs, etc.)

How much does it cost to book a Minnie Van?

Be prepared to pay a premium price for this Disney-themed transportation. Most rides around Walt Disney World in a Minnie Van will cost you between $40 and $70. Costs vary depending on where you are traveling to and how many people you need to transport.

How many people can you fit in a Minnie Van?

Minnie vans can fit 5 passengers. They have 2 carseats available, which can be used by 2 of the 5 passengers.

Accessible Minnie Vans can accommodate 5 people and 2 mobility devices or 7 people, if 2 people remain on their mobility devices for the ride. Accessible Minnie Vans include 1 car seat, which can be used by 1 of the 5 seated passengers.

Pictured above: If you take a regular Lyft you’ll have to be dropped off at the TTC parking lot (the small pink dot), then take transportation (bus, boat, or monorail) to get to the main Magic Kingdom entrance. With a Minnie Van, you will be dropped off at the large pink pin on the map, right at the entrance of Magic Kingdom.

Minnie Vans Have Access to Premium Drop-Off Locations at the Parks

Minnie Vans are the only ride share option that can drop you off at the front of Magic Kingdom. Other Lyft or Uber vehicles are not allowed to drop off in front of the park. Instead, they drop off passengers at the Ticket and Transfer Center – where passengers will then need to take other Disney Transportation, like a bus, boat, or Monorail, to get to Magic Kingdom.

Using a Minnie Van saved me so much time and hassle, and made it possible for me to get to my early-morning breakfast reservation on time.

Pet-Friendly

Bring your pup! Minnie Vans allow you to travel with your pet. Pet blankets are available to use to make sure you pet is comfortable during the ride.

Comfortable and Updated

My Minnie Van was ultra clean and updated. There was comfortable leather seating (heated seats!), screens for entertainment, and plenty of cup holders. To top it all off, I had a very nice conversation with my driver and he pointed out interesting Disney history and fun facts along our drive.

Perfect for Families and Groups

If you are traveling with a larger group and want a more private transportation option. Minnie Vans would be a special addition for your dinner or evening out. Families love Minnie Vans for easy transportation if you’re traveling with strollers and your children need to ride in car seats. The entertainment in the vehicles is also super handy if your kids need a little time to unwind during the drive.

Pros and Cons for booking a Disney Minnie Van at Walt Disney World

I can think of several reasons why you might want to use a Minnie Van over other ride-share options. Below is a list of Pros and Cons that you might want to review if you are considering booking a Minnie Van.

Pros to booking a Minnie Van:

  • Vehicles managed and owned by the Walt Disney Company, so you’re sure to get top-notch Disney customer service.
  • The drivers are Disney World employees and are trained and professional, so you’ll feel safe.
  • Vehicles are maintained and updated regularly.
  • Car seats are available if you are traveling with younger children.
  • Room for your stroller. You don’t have to mess with your stroller on a Disney bus!
  • Access to a premium Magic Kingdom drop-off location.
  • Better pick-up and drop-off locations for other parks. Many times, Minnie Vans will drop you off or pick you up closer than other transportation options.
  • Pets are welcome
  • Children under the age of 6 are required to ride in a car seat. All Minnie vans include up to 2 complimentary child seats if needed.

Cons to booking a Minnie Van

  • The cost. This is the biggest negative. You are paying for a premium service when you book a Minnie Van. The cost is typically double to triple the cost of a normal Lyft. If you’re looking to save a bit, Lyft offers a service called “Lyft Black”. This service offers professional drivers and a much nicer vehicle compared to regular Lyft rides.
  • Airport service is limited to guests staying at Deluxe Resorts at the time of writing this post (Jan. 2026)
  • Availability is limited, and you will wait longer during busy times.
  • You will have to fold away strollers, unlike when you take the Skyliner or boat, which typically don’t require you to fold your stroller.

Minnie Vans offer Limited transportation from Walt Disney World Resorts to the Airport

Walt Disney World recently added this service to its Minnie Vans for guests staying at Deluxe Resorts. You can book a Minnie Van to pick you up from the airport or drop you off at the airport after your Walt Disney World vacation. You can not book airport pickup/drop off through the standard Lyft App; you will need to call Disney Signature Services (concierge) 407-828-3500 to book. The cost is around $200 each way, plus tip, and includes up to two car seats.
