Caribbean Beach Resort Review
See if Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has everything you’re looking for. Read our review of this great Moderate resort at Walt Disney World and see why we love it for it’s transportation, delicious dining options and relaxing vibes.

We stayed here in April 2025 on a girls’ trip, and I really enjoyed this resort. Caribbean Beach has a calm, relaxing feel that makes it easy to slow down after busy park days. Between the palm trees, waterfront paths, and Skyliner access, it’s one of my favorite Moderate resorts on Disney property.

About Our Recent Stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
We visited Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort in April of 2025 and stayed in the Jamaica section. We chose this location so we would have easy access to the Skyliner, since we knew we would be spending lots of time at EPCOT for the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and it ended up being a great choice.
Our room was located in the Jamaica Section, building 41, room 4152, on the second floor. There are no elevators at Caribbean Beach, so we used the stairs during our stay. This is something to keep in mind if you are traveling with strollers, heavy luggage, or mobility concerns. (You can request bell services help to bring your bags up the stairs, or request a ground-floor room.

Caribbean Beach is one of Disney’s Moderate resorts. It has a very relaxed, peaceful atmosphere that feels noticeably different from the Value resorts.
The Caribbean theming is subtle but really well done. The landscaping is beautiful, with palm trees, beaches along the water, and lots of open space. The resort never felt rushed or overly crowded, which made it a great place to come back to after long park days.
You’ll find a lot of families staying here, but it also feels like a nice option for adults or couples who want a quieter resort.

THEME AND LAYOUT OF Caribbean Beach Resort
This is a very large and spread-out resort with over 1,500 rooms spread across colorful island villages; it feels much more spread out than some other Disney resorts. Caribbean Beach is divided into several “villages’:
- Martinique
- Barbados
- Trinidad
- Jamaica
- Aruba

Each village has its own leisure pool, and you will find the main hub of the resort at Old Port Royale.
Because of its size, it does require more walking than many other resorts. One way to reduce your walking distance is to book or request a preferred room, which places you closer to dining and transportation.

Our walk to the main building, Old Port Royale, was about seven minutes. It wasn’t bad at all, but we were visiting in April. I imagine that same walk would feel much longer in the middle of summer.
Jamaica and Aruba are especially popular locations because they are close to the Skyliner. Aruba also has the added bonus of being within walking distance of Disney’s Riviera Resort.

Dining at Caribbean Beach Resort
Caribbean Beach offers some really solid dining options for a Moderate resort. This resort has several options for quick-service and table-service dining.
Sebastian’s Bistro, Centertown Market, Centertown Market Grab and Go, Spyglass Grill, and Banana Cabana.

Centertown Market
This is the food court at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. They serve all of your favorite Disney foods like chicken strips, pizza, burgers, etc. They also offer several delicious Caribbean-inspired dishes that are delicious! They have the regular soda dispensers as well as our favorite Freestyle soda machines that allow you to customize your soda or drink.
There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, which makes it a convenient and comfortable dining spot.

Food we tried at the Centertown Market at Caribbean Beach Resort
- Avocado Toast (with added egg) – Avocado, Tomatoes, Oranges, Pickled Onions, and Sriracha Mayonnaise
- Chicken Bowl: Jerk Chicken served over Rice and Beans with a side of Tomato and Cucumber Salad topped with Cilantro-Lime Tofu Crema and Pickled Vegetable Slaw
- The Kids’ Meal Fish Tacos: Two Fish Tacos topped with Pickled Vegetable Slaw, Cilantro-Lime Tofu Crema, Cotija Cheese, and a side of Pico de Gallo with a Lime.
- Mickey Brownie Ice Cream Sundae – I get this at every resort!
- Key Lime Tart – Key Lime Filling with Graham Cracker Crust topped with Meringue and Tropical Sauce with a White Chocolate Garnish

Other food options at Centertown Market that we want to try on our next stay:
- Roasted Half Chicken – Roasted Jamaican-style Half-Chicken with Cilantro Rice and Seasonal Vegetables
- Swashuckler Burger – with Curry-Coconut Aïoli, Jalapeño Jam, Tostones, and Arugula on a Brioche Bun
- Hot Cuban Sandwich – Slow-roasted Pork, Ham, Swiss Cheese, Pickles, and Mustard on Cuban Bread
- Mango BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich – with a Zesty Vegetable Slaw on a Toasted Brioche Bun served with French Fries
- Honey-Pineapple Pork Ribs
- Pulled Pork Nachos – with Pico de Gallo, Avocado, Black Beans, and Pimento Cheese Sauce
- Mediterranean Curry-Chickpea Salad – with Grilled Pita Bread and Tomato-Cucumber Salad
Spyglass Grill
This quick-service dining is located in the Trinidad village, which is very convenient if you are staying in this area. You won’t have to walk 10 minutes to Old Port Royale to get your meals. They offer a smaller menu but have many of the most popular dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. You can even get your morning latte or evening alcoholic beverage here.
Spyglass Grill is located in the Trinidad village and acts as a smaller quick service option for guests staying farther from Old Port Royale. It serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks, and is very convenient if you’re staying in that area.

Sebastian’s Bistro
Sebastian’s Bistro is the table service restaurant at Caribbean Beach and requires advanced dining reservations. They do occasionally accept walk-up reservations. It’s located right on the water, and you can even see fireworks from inside the restaurant or from the dock outside.

Banana Cabana and Spyglass Grill
Banana Cabana is the pool bar near the main pool and is a great place to grab food and drinks. We had a delicous late dinner here one evening and watched the fireworks from EPCOT, which was a nice surprise.

Coffee Options
We love coffee around here, and there were several spots to get a good coffee. Centertown Market and Spyglass Grill both offer coffee as well as espresso beverages and cold brews. Our favorite perk of this resort is being able to grab a coffee at the Joffrey’s Coffee stand near the Skyliner station each morning.
We also enjoy walking (or taking the skyliner) over to Disney’s Riviera Resort to enjoy a coffee at Le Petit Café.
Caribbean Cay Island
In the center of the resort is Caribbean Cay Island, which connects several villages by bridges and features playgrounds, hammocks, and event spaces.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is one of the biggest pros of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, in my opinion.
This resort is the main hub for the Disney Skyliner, giving you direct access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios without needing to transfer lines. This was especially convenient during EPCOT festival days and made park-hopping much easier. You will have walkable access to two Skyliner stations.

If you are staying in the Aruba village, you can easily walk up to Riveria Resort’s Skyliner station. If you are staying in the Jamaica village, you can easily walk to the Caribbean Beach Skyliner station. Some areas in the Trinidad or Barbados villages area are also quite close to the skyliner Internal buses will also bring you to the Skyliner.

There is also an internal bus loop to help guests get around the resort, along with standard Disney buses to the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. Just be sure to know where you are going, or you may take an accidental tour over to Disney Springs. (Ask me how I know!) The buses will say where they are going, and the Caribbean Beach Resort internal buses should say “Internal Resort Shuttle” or “Resort Shuttle”.
If you’re staying here, I highly recommend requesting a room close to the Skyliner or booking a preferred room to minimize walking.
Request the Jamaica or Aruba sections during online check-in, and then follow up with a request via the app to clarify your preferred buildings (41, 42, 43 for Jamaica, or 54, 55, and 56 for Aruba).

The Caribbean Beach Skyliner Station is the transfer station that connects the resort skyliners to the skyliner route to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Since you are staying at Caribbean Beach, the Skyliner will give you direct access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios without the need to transfer. You can also visit Pop Century Resort and Art of Animation from this station. If you are staying at Pop Century or Art of Animation, you must transfer here. Staying at Caribbean Beach allows you to skip that step entirely.
There is also a Joffrey’s Coffee stand near the Skyliner station, which was a fun bonus for early park mornings.
The Internal Bus System at Caribbean Beach Resort
Caribbean Beach also offers an internal bus service that runs between the different villages, Old Port Royale, and the Skyliner station.
There are bus stops located throughout the resort. These same bus stops are also used for transportation to the parks.
We did find the bus system a little confusing at first. Because the resort is so large, buses make multiple stops before exiting the property. If you are new to Caribbean Beach, it may take a day or two to understand how the loop works. If you are not sure how to get somewhere, you can ask the bus driver before you get on to make sure you’re headed in the right direction.
The internal bus route at Caribbean Beach typically runs in this order: Martinique, Old Port Royale, Barbados, Trinidad, Jamaica, Aruba, and the Skyliner station.

Rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort
Our room featured two queen beds and hardwood-style flooring. You can request a room with a 5th sleeper bed – a small pull-down bed. This is a big plus for families who need extra sleeping space. These beds are often called a 5th sleeper or referred to as a child-size pull-down bed. They are not very large (approx. 63″ x 30″), but our 17-year-old daughter slept on one and did not have any issues.

The room felt clean and comfortable, but the decor was fairly simple. There were light Caribbean-inspired touches, but not heavy Disney theming.

Caribbean Beach Resort “Under the Sea” Rooms
Caribbean Beach Resort also offers “Under the Sea” rooms, which have a Little Mermaid theme. You can put in a request for one of these rooms, but they are not guaranteed

Tips to help you request an “Under the Sea” Room at Caribbean Beach Resort:
To try to reserve one of these rooms you will want to follow these steps. Just remember that there is no guarantee that you will receive this type of room, due to availability.
- Book a Standard View – 5th Sleeper OR a Water or Pool View – 5th Sleeper.
- Use either the online chat feature or call Walt Disney World Reservations and ask them to add a note on your reservation that you’d prefer a Little Mermaid-themed room.
- When doing online check-in, you’ll have the option to choose either Old Port Royale or the Disney Skyliner as a room location; select Disney Skyliner. Do not prioritize room readiness over fulfilling your request.
- If you arrive at the resort before the 3 PM check-in time, stop by the front desk to confirm your request.
Although nothing is guaranteed, Cast Members work hard to ensure every Guest has a magical stay.

ROOM FEATURES AND STORAGE
The storage in our room was decent, and several items were included in the room:
- An open hanging closet area
- Iron and ironing board
- Extra pillows and blankets
- Safe
- Luggage rack
- Alexa-enabled “Hey, Mickey” device
- Coffee pot with coffee and tea
- A beverage cooler – Please note, the beverage cooler does not have a freezer, and the temperatures do not cool below 40 degrees. Speak to a cast member if you have medication or items that need to be properly refrigerated.

There were hooks near the door for backpacks, jackets, or Mickey ears, and storage under the TV. One downside was that there was only one bedside table, which was not ideal for two adults.

Bathroom Layout at Caribbean Beach Resort
The bathroom layout was one of my favorite features of the room.
There were double sinks with storage underneath, sliding doors to separate the sink area from the bedroom, and a separate toilet and shower room. This setup allows multiple people to get ready at the same time, which is especially helpful for families.

Pools at Caribbean Beach Resort
There are 6 pools at Caribbean Beach Resort. The main pool at Caribbean Beach is Fuentes del Morro Pool, located at Old Port Royale.
This pirate and Spanish fortress themed pool features:
- Two water slides
- A shipwreck-themed splash area for kids under 48 inches
- Water cannons and interactive play elements
- A rare 12-person spa pool for adults
- A water play area for younger kids
Each village also has its own leisure pools, which are quieter and great for relaxing. Towels and flotation vests for kids are available, and daily pool activities are offered.

Other Activities and Recreation
Caribbean Beach offers a wide variety of recreation options for families, including:
- Nightly campfires at Martinique Beach
- Movies Under the Stars at the Caribbean Cay Movie Lawn
- Evening island parties on Caribbean Cay
- Find a Friend photo hunt featuring Sebastian
- A self-guided nature walk around Barefoot Bay
- Volleyball courts, jogging trails, and playgrounds
- Catch and release fishing
- Paid activities like Mickey tie dye and shell painting
There is usually something going on each day, especially if you plan time to enjoy the resort.

The Cost to Stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Room prices at Caribbean Beach Resort vary based on time of year, discounts, and room category. Pricing is typically higher than Value resorts but lower than Deluxe resorts. Standard rooms start at $288 to over $450 per night. During peak seasons, pricing can surpass $450/night.
Booking a preferred room does cost more, but in my opinion, it is worth it if you want to be closer to the Skyliner or Old Port Royale.

Is Caribbean Beach Resort Good for Families?
Yes, Caribbean Beach Resort is a great choice for families who want a relaxing resort with excellent transportation.
The Skyliner access, rooms that sleep up to five, multiple pools, and a wide range of activities make this a very family-friendly resort. It’s also a great option if you enjoy spending time at the resort instead of being in the parks all day.
The biggest downside is the size of this resort. Some rooms are far from the main areas, and the lack of elevators can be challenging. If walking long distances is a concern, I strongly recommend booking a preferred room or requesting a first-floor location. You can request assistance with your luggage from Bell Services – they are happy to bring your bags up to your room. I had them come and bring my bags down the stairs when I had to check out.
Final Thoughts on Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Caribbean Beach Resort is one of my top Moderate resort picks, especially for guests who love Skyliner access and a beach-themed atmosphere. If you enjoy spending time at the EPCOT festivals, relaxing resort evenings, and having lots of space to unwind, this resort is a fantastic option.
