You may be wondering if Disney World has any rides for teens. I’m here to tell you that yes, your teen will have a blast! There are plenty of thrill rides to keep their adrenaline going throughout Disney World, but I would have your teens start at Hollywood Studios. We think Hollywood Studios is the best park for teens. It has plenty of thrill rides, entertainment, and experiences that your teen will love.

Tower of Terror, Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster, and Rise of the Resistance are just a few popular rides in Hollywood Studios that your teens will love.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster

Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster is, in my opinion, the most intense ride in all of Disney World… and I love it!!

This ride was being refurbished during some of our past visits and we were unable to get on the ride. I was thrilled to finally get the chance to ride it with our whole family this year. It was so wild and so much fun! I can see why everyone loves it!

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is an indoor coaster with an incredibly fast launch (it goes from 0-57 MPH in just 3 seconds!!). The ride also has 3 inversions (loops!)! Add in some rocking Aerosmith music, and you have a thrilling high-speed ride!

The Twilight Zone’s Tower of Terror™

Disney’s Tower of Terror is the classic drop ride themed after The Twilight Zone. While your teens might not be very familiar with The Twilight Zone In this attraction, guests enter the spooky hotel and head to the elevator for a wild ride, dropping 13 stories followed by several other random drops and rises! Hold on to your seats! There’s a reason this one is a fan favorite!

Rise of Resistance

Whether or not your teens are huge Star Wars fans, you can’t miss Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This is one of the most impressive lands in Disney World. Once you walk down Grand Avenue and under the tunnel into Galaxy’s Edge you feel completely immersed in the Star Wars world. Make sure you try to head straight to Rise of the Resistance. I would actually suggest that you prioritize this ride and try to ‘rope-drop’ it if possible.

At this attraction, you’re invited to join the Resistance in their battle against First Order. This is a trackless ride, with motion simulators that make you feel like you are taking a warp-speed trip to outer space and participating in an epic battle.

In addition, this ride has impressive virtual reality scenes and visual effects for a fully immersive experience.

Even if your tween is not a fan of Star Wars, I promise, they will still be impressed with this ride.

Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run

This is a great, interactive Star Wars ride. Everyone has a job on this mission you could end up in the role of pilot, engineer, or gunner. Each person plays an important part in the success of this mission.

Star Tours – The Adventure Continues

This ride is not in Galaxy’s Edge but right by Backlot Express in Echo Lake. This was the first Star Wars ride that I ever went on and I still love it!

In this ride, you will be flying in a Starspeeder 1000 with the help of C-3PO. It’s quite an adventure with some unexpected bumps along the way. Disney has added several storylines to this ride so you won’t always end up with the same storyline.

SNACK BREAK: Ronto roasters & blue milk

After your ride, stop in at Ronto Roasters in Galaxy’s Edge for a Ronto Wrap and a cup of Tatooine Sunset, the signature non-alcoholic drink. Or head next door to Kat Saka’s and pick up the Outpost Mix—a sweet, savory popcorn. Your teens might have fun trying the infamous green or blue milk from the milk stand.

Star Wars Characters

While walking around Galaxy’s Edge you may run into a few familiar faces, Chewbaca and Rey are often found meeting guests, and if you’re lucky you may run into the Mandalorian and Grogu (Baby Yoda!).

Toy Story Mania!

It’s time to enjoy a little friendly competition at Toy Story Mania.

First of all the details start the moment you get into the line at Toy Story Mania. Everything is oversized, making you feel like you’re in the movie.

Once you get onto the ride you’re in the game! It’s like being in a giant arcade game and you’re using a carnival shooter. As you move throughout the ride, there are targets all over. You’ll find bullseyes on toys, and plates, there’s a ring toss game and so much more.

Your goal is to shoot as many bullseyes as possible throughout the game. Your score will show up on your ride’s screen so you can try and beat your ride partner. This is a great ride for your competitive teens.

Slinky Dog Dash

Everyone has a different definition of “thrilling ride” so if your teen enjoys less extreme but still exhilarating rollercoasters, they will love Slinky Dog Dash. If they enjoyed the Toy Story series when they were a bit younger, they will love the details of this ride.

SNACK BREAK: LUNCH BOX TARTS

Stop over at Woody’s Lunch Box for a quick treat. Choose from three Lunch Box Tart Flavors, Raspberry, Chocolate Hazelnut, and Lemon-Blueberry. I had a special Peanut Butter Banana flavor on one of our trips. *Bonus* Not only are they yummy, but they are totally cute and Instagram-worthy too, which your teens will love!

Entertainment at Hollywood Studios for Teens

Make sure you head over to the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular in Hollywood Studios (Echo Lake). This 35-minute live show is a great option if you need a break from the rides in Hollywood Studios but still want an action-packed experience. The stunt show is full of fires, fights, explosions, and, of course, watching Indiana Jones run away from the infamous giant boulder.

Muppet Vision 3D at Hollywood Studios

Muppet*Vision 3D

If you’re looking for a place to cool down I suggest popping into the Muppet*Vision 3D. While the Muppets tend to be a favorite among Gen X’ers your teens will still remember Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the crew and have fun (and enjoy the AC) in the Grand Arts Theater.

There’s more to Hollywood Studios

While these are just a few of my top recommendations for teens at Hollywood Studios there is so much more to explore and do in this park. I hope you’ll experience some of these thrills the next time you’re in Hollywood Studios.

There are some great dining experiences at Hollywood Studios and Disney is finally bringing back the Disney Dining Plans. Find out all of the details and costs for the Dining Plan here.
