The Atmosphere

1900 Park Fare Restaurant is an elegant character dining experience. It is located at the Grand Floridian Resort, by far the most extravagant resort on Disney property.

The resort is themed with Victorian decor, and even the lobby you wait in before you enter the restaurant is beautiful. The dining rooms have giant cathedral ceilings, chandeliers, velvet booth seating, elegant chairs, and beautiful carpet.

One of the features in the room is a beautiful organ that was found in 1980 and restored. It was brought to the Grand Floridian in the late 1900s, where it is fondly nicknamed “Big Bertha”. Previously, it was the centerpiece of Park Fare before the restaurant was rethemed in 2024. Because it was such an important piece in the previous restaurant, they continued to keep it on display. Unfortunately, they do not typically have the organ played (it is very loud!); however, I was told that it may be played on special occasions.

Take some time to look around the room at the beautiful portraits of some of Disney’s classic films. You can order prints of these pieces at the Art of Disney on Demand kiosk at the Grand Floridian.

The Buffet Offerings

The buffet has plenty of options for adults and even your younger, picky eaters. Of course, you will find Mickey Waffles and pancakes with syrup, bacon, sausage, and other classic breakfast favorites. There are several cereal options, too.

There was a carving station with fresh ham, biscuits and gravy, lots of delicious pastry options, baked French toast, potato dishes, bread pudding, and fresh fruit. You have to try their famous Strawberry soup and fresh whipped cream (it was delicious!).

You will even all-you-care-to-enjoy gummy bears!! How fun!

What I enjoyed:

I love breakfast. It is my favorite meal to try when I’m at a new restaurant. The buffet had the most delicious dishes. The eggs Benedict were delicious! Side note: I’m always happy to find a poached or fried egg on the menu at any Disney restaurant… I can only eat scrambled eggs so many times at Disney… And yes, they had 2 options of scrambled eggs on the buffet.

The bread pudding with vanilla cremé Anglaise was my favorite! The Strawberry Soup was just as good as people say!

Character Interactions

I dined with four different characters during my breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Mirabel from Encanto, Tiana from The Princess and the Frog (and the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride), Cinderella in her beautiful gown, and Aladdin.

I’ve been told that the characters can change, but these are the most common as of April 2025.

The character interactions were fantastic; I had a great experience and watched several families with young children having the best time. I even saw a family with an older teen daughter who lit up every time a character came to their table, which is all part of the Disney magic you feel when you’re here. Aladdin was so fun to meet, he also offered to take me on a carpet ride adventure to Japan!

The Cost of Dining at 1900 Park Fare

Because 1900 Park Fare is a Character Dining experience and a buffet, it has a higher cost than other table dining. My breakfast cost $58.00, and the children’s price for breakfast is $37.00 (plus tax and gratuity). This includes all-you-care-to-enjoy food, desserts, brewed coffee, juice, etc. They also have a nice cocktail and adult beverage menu that you can purchase from.

Dinner costs $69.00 per adult and $44.00 per child (plus tax and gratuity). You can see the full menu below or on the Disney website here.

I have to say that this was one of my favorite Character Dining experiences. The food was delicious and fresh, the cast member who took care of me was exceptional, and the characters were so fun to meet. I loved that the characters came by several times, and they stopped by more than once. This would be a great Disney Restaurant for a special occasion. Have you been to 1900 Park Fare? What did you think?
